Panel: Data Analytics: Fighting the Privacy Boogeyman

Monday, June 03, 2024 - 11:45 am12:30 pm

Moderator: Ryne Hager
Panelists: Joy Bonaguro; Dave Evans, OSOM; Mary Stone Ross

Abstract:

As privacy laws continue to evolve in ways that further customer rights and impose new restrictions on data collection practices, engineering mindfully and responsibly is an ever-increasing challenge. But there are ways to implement privacy-respecting analytics that can help inform critical decisions without imposing on your ethics or your customer's rights.

On this panel, we have gathered together those with legislative, legal, and policy backgrounds to discuss some recent changes, what to plan in regards to analytics collection (and other data privacy changes) in the coming years, plus the design and pitching expertise to help you effectively communicate these benefits to your team, executives, your partners, and other critical stakeholders.

Analytics don't have to be scary or privacy-violating to work.

Dave Evans, OSOM
