As part of USENIX's ongoing commitment to encourage diversity in advanced computing, we are pleased to offer diversity grants at FAST '24 to support computer scientists and practitioners interested in attending. All computer scientists and practitioners from academia or industry who identify as female or who are members of groups historically excluded in tech are encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants will receive funds to defray the expense of conference attendance. Learn more about the USENIX Grant Program.
The application deadline is Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
Eligibility:
- Identify as a female or a member of another historically excluded group in tech
- Work in or study computer science or related field
- Attend the three full days of the main Conference Program
- Agree to be contacted by USENIX and diversity grants program sponsors about future events and opportunities
Instructions for Applicants
Complete the application form below.
Your Supporting Statement is the most important part of your application: it should outline your current research, studies, or employment related to the conference topics, tell us why attending the event will be beneficial to you, your financial need, and any other relevant information such as whether you are presenting at the conference.
USENIX is committed to funding the attendance of as many grant applicants as possible based on need. However, the grant application process is competitive, and grant awards are not guaranteed. As a small non-profit organization, USENIX has limited grant funding available. Please do not apply for a grant if you have other funds available to you, such as through your employer, or if you have received a grant through USENIX in the past year.
Late applications will not be considered. Successful applicants will need to submit their Social Security Number (SSN), if applicable, to USENIX prior to receiving their grant.
